Why Do You Need Upgraded Sway Bar Links?

However, when you lift or level your vehicle, the geometry changes, which can negatively affect articulation and sway bar alignment. This is a photo of a 4th gen 4Runner that has recently been lifted but still has its stock sway bar links. Originally, this link ran perfectly verticle, but once lifted, it pushed the chassis of the 4Runner up, and the wheels down. This new distance that we all usually strive for, has caused the link to become all cock-eyed.

What Do Sway Bars and Sway Bar Links Do?
Sway bars keep your vehicle from excessive swaying by connecting the left and right wheels and helping to resist the forces that make the vehicle lean during turns. The sway bar links are the components that transfer this force, helping to keep your vehicle level for a smoother and safer ride. Maintenance and Care:
To ensure the longevity of your sway bar links, regular lubrication is recommended, especially in harsh conditions. Use a PTFE dry lube, such as Tri-Flow Uniball Lube, to keep the joints functioning smoothly and to prevent dirt buildup.
